Government Sponsored Skill Development Programs

Gramin Shiksha Private Limited

Since 2010, Gramin Shiksha Private Limited (GSPL) has been actively associated with various Central and State Government–sponsored skill development programs, contributing to the objectives of the Skill India Mission. Beginning with PMKVY 2016–17, GSPL has successfully implemented multiple large-scale projects across different states, focusing on employability, reskilling, upskilling, and livelihood generation.


1. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) – 2016–17 onwards

Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India

GSPL started implementing government-sponsored skill development programs under PMKVY 2016–17, the flagship scheme of the Government of India. Under PMKVY, GSPL delivered NSQF-aligned, outcome-based training programs for unemployed youth, school dropouts, and college dropouts.

The program emphasized:

  • Industry-relevant skill training

  • Assessment and certification through Sector Skill Councils

  • Placement-linked and employability-focused outcomes

PMKVY laid a strong foundation for GSPL’s operational capabilities in compliance-driven and large-scale skill development projects.


2. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Electronics Sector Skill Council (ESSCI)

GSPL implemented RPL programs in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skill Council, focusing on recognizing the existing skills of experienced workers already engaged in the electronics and allied sectors.

Key components included:

  • Skill gap assessment

  • Bridge training

  • Assessment and certification

This initiative helped integrate the informal workforce into the formal skill ecosystem and improve their employability and professional recognition.


3. Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM)

SURYA Program

Under HSDM – SURYA, GSPL implemented skill development programs aimed at enhancing employability of youth through structured vocational training. The program focused on demand-driven job roles aligned with industry requirements within the state of Haryana.


4. Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM)

HMV – Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver Training

GSPL successfully implemented Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driver Training programs under Haryana Skill Development Mission (HSDM).
This program focused on developing professional, certified heavy vehicle drivers to meet the growing demand in logistics, transport, and infrastructure sectors.

Key objectives included:

  • Professional driving skills for heavy motor vehicles

  • Road safety, traffic rules, and defensive driving

  • Vehicle maintenance basics and compliance awareness

  • Employment linkage with transport and logistics companies

The HMV program contributed significantly to improving road safety and employability in the transport sector.


5. Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission (UKSDM)

State CSSM – PMKVY Projects

Under UKSDM, GSPL implemented skill development programs through:

  • PMKVY projects at the state level

These programs focused on training local youth in region-specific job roles, ensuring alignment with local industry demand and improving employment opportunities within the state.


6. Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM)

SSDF (Skill Strengthening & Development Framework)

GSPL implemented skill development programs under UPSDM – SSDF, targeting unemployed youth across Uttar Pradesh. The focus was on quality training delivery, assessment, certification, and placement facilitation in job-oriented trades.


7. Delhi Skill Development Mission Society (DSDMS)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Under Delhi Skill Development Mission Society, GSPL executed RPL programs to formally recognize the skills of workers already engaged in various sectors. This helped candidates gain nationally recognized certification and improved job mobility.


8. Rajasthan Skill & Livelihoods Development Corporation (RSLDC)

SAKSHAM Program

GSPL partnered with RSLDC to implement the SAKSHAM skill development program, aimed at enhancing employability and livelihood opportunities for youth across Rajasthan through structured vocational training.


9. Jharkhand Skill Development Mission (JSDM)

BIRSA Project

Under JSDM – BIRSA, GSPL delivered skill development training programs to empower youth and reduce unemployment in Jharkhand. The program focused on inclusive growth and skill-based employment.


10. Samagra Shiksha Scheme

Uttar Pradesh & Madhya Pradesh

Under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme, GSPL implemented vocational education programs for school students in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. These programs provided early exposure to skill education and practical learning, helping students develop employability skills alongside formal education.
